Bridge Fence Over Garden State Parkway

Consolidated Fence Co. was contracted by the New Jersey Department of Transportation to build the bridge fence that is currently spanning across the Garden State Parkway. This curved fencing is located on both sides of the bridge. Built to meet precise customer supplied graphical specifications, the fence measures eight feet-six inches high, and curves inward to prevent an individual from throwing any objects directly into oncoming traffic.

The fence posts were constructed out of three inch square aluminum pipe, which was then inserted into a 3 ½ inch sleeve welded to an 8x8x7/8 inch aluminum plate. This plate was then bolted to the bridge structure. The one inch mesh fence wire is built out of durable steel metal and possesses a number nine gage diameter. We then coated the steel mesh with aluminum to protect against rust.

Combining our cutting, welding, drilling, and bending capabilities, we were able to both construct and install this protective fence over the Garden State Parkway, meeting all customer specifications and exceeding client expectations.
